Product SEO
Optimizing the SEO of your products improves their visibility on search engines like Google and in the internal search results of each marketplace. Fenicia includes built-in tools to optimize SEO directly from the product editing form.
Where to Find the SEO Section
The SEO section is located in the product editing form. To access it:
- Navigate to Products and select the product you want to optimize
- Scroll down in the editing form
- You will find the SEO section with all optimization fields
Meta Title
The meta title is what appears as the blue link in Google search results.
| Aspect | Detail |
|---|---|
| Field | Text input with real-time character counter |
| Optimal length | 30 - 60 characters |
| Status indicator | Too short / Optimal / Too long |
Meta Title Recommendations
- Include the product name and main keyword
- Place the most important information at the beginning
- Avoid unnecessary special characters
- Do not repeat the brand if it already appears in the domain
Tip
A good meta title for a t-shirt might be: "Premium Cotton T-Shirt - Sizes S to XXL | Your Brand". This includes the product, material, availability, and brand in under 60 characters.
Meta Description
The meta description is the text that appears below the title in search results.
| Aspect | Detail |
|---|---|
| Field | Text area with real-time character counter |
| Optimal length | 120 - 160 characters |
| Status indicator | Too short / Optimal / Too long |
Meta Description Recommendations
- Summarize the main benefits of the product
- Include a call to action (e.g., "Buy now", "Free shipping")
- Use keywords naturally
- Make it compelling to generate clicks
Keywords
Keywords help search engines understand what your product is about.
| Aspect | Detail |
|---|---|
| Format | Comma-separated |
| Recommended count | 3 - 8 keywords |
| Maximum | 8 keywords |
How to Choose Keywords
- Think about how your customers would search for the product
- Include variations (e.g., "t-shirt", "tee", "tee shirt")
- Add relevant descriptive words (material, color, use)
- Avoid generic words like "product" or "item"
Keyword research
Check popular search terms on each marketplace. Amazon and MercadoLibre publish search trends that you can leverage to choose better keywords.
URL Slug
The slug is the part of the URL that identifies the product. Fenicia automatically generates a slug from the title, but you can customize it.
URL preview:
fenicia.com/productos/{slug}Slug Best Practices
- Use descriptive words separated by hyphens
- Keep the slug short and readable
- Include the main keyword
- Avoid ID numbers or internal codes
Example: premium-cotton-t-shirt instead of prod-12345
AI Generation
Fenicia includes a Generate suggestions button that uses artificial intelligence to automatically create:
- Optimized meta title based on product information
- Compelling meta description with a call to action
- Relevant keywords extracted from the content
Complete the product information
Make sure the title, description, and key points are filled in before generating SEO suggestions.

- Green URL: The full product URL
- Gray description: Your meta description truncated according to Google's limits
This preview updates in real time as you edit the fields, letting you see exactly how your product will be displayed to users searching on Google.

Next to the SEO fields, you will find a card with helpful tips that update based on the current state of your optimization:
- Specific suggestions based on fields that still need to be completed
- Best practices for the type of product you are editing
- Reminders about optimal text lengths
Why SEO Matters
For Search Engines (Google)
Good SEO makes your products appear when potential customers search on Google. This generates free organic traffic to your store.
For Marketplaces
Although marketplaces have their own algorithms, many SEO factors apply:
- Amazon: The title and key points directly influence search ranking
- MercadoLibre: The description and keywords affect visibility
- Shopify: Meta data improves your online store's SEO
