Inventory Transfers
Transfers let you move stock between locations: from a warehouse to a store, between branches, or to any storage point registered in Fenicia. Each transfer follows an approval and tracking workflow to maintain full traceability.
Creating a Transfer
Start the transfer
Go to Inventory → Transfers and click New transfer. You can also start one from the dashboard quick actions.
Select origin and destination
Choose the origin location (where stock will be subtracted) and the destination location (where stock will be added upon completion).
Add products
Search for products by name or SKU and specify the quantity to transfer for each variant. Only products with available stock at the origin location will be shown.
Review and submit
Check the transfer summary and click Create transfer. The transfer is set to Pending status until approved.
Tip
You can add internal notes to the transfer to document the reason for the movement or special instructions for the warehouse team.
Transfer Statuses
Each transfer moves through the following statuses:
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Pending | Created but not yet approved for shipment |
| In transit | Approved and on its way to the destination |
| Completed | Received at the destination; stock updated automatically |
| Cancelled | Voided before completion; origin stock is restored |
Inventory impact
Origin stock is reserved when the transfer is approved. Destination stock increases only when the transfer is marked as completed.
Approval Workflow
The transfer workflow proceeds as follows:
Creation
A user creates the transfer and it enters Pending status.
Approval
A user with inventory permissions reviews and approves the transfer. The status changes to In transit and origin stock is reserved.
Reception
When products arrive at the destination, the transfer is marked as Completed. Stock is updated at both locations.
Filtering Transfers
Use the available filters to find specific transfers:
- Status: Pending, In transit, Completed, Cancelled
- Origin location: Filter by the outbound warehouse or store
- Destination location: Filter by the receiving point
- Date: Date range for creation
