Connecting a Channel

To start receiving orders and syncing products, you need to connect at least one sales channel. Fenicia provides a guided wizard that walks you through the connection process step by step.

Marketplace selection in the connection wizard

Starting the Connection

1

Open the wizard

Go to Channels and click Add Channel. If this is your first channel, the button appears directly in the empty state on the channels page.

2

Select the marketplace

Choose the marketplace or platform you want to connect: Shopify, Amazon, MercadoLibre, Walmart, T1 Comercios, TikTok Shop, Coppel, Shein, Tienda Nube, WooCommerce, and more.

3

Authorize the connection

The authentication method varies by channel:

  • OAuth (Shopify, Amazon, MercadoLibre): A marketplace window opens where you sign in and grant Fenicia access.
  • API Key (Walmart, T1 Comercios, Coppel, Shein): Enter the credentials provided by the marketplace.
  • Store URL (WooCommerce, Tienda Nube): Provide your store address and API keys.
4

Confirm permissions

Review the permissions Fenicia requests from the marketplace. Typically, read and write access is required for orders, products, and inventory.

Authentication Methods

OAuth (Shopify, Amazon, MercadoLibre)

The OAuth flow is the most secure method. The marketplace asks you to confirm access directly on their platform, without sharing passwords with Fenicia.

Automatic redirect

After authorizing, the marketplace will redirect you back to Fenicia automatically. Do not close the window during the process.

API Key (Walmart, T1 Comercios, Coppel, Shein)

Some marketplaces provide a key pair (API Key and Secret) that you enter in the connection form. Refer to each marketplace's documentation to obtain your credentials.

Tip

Store your API keys in a safe place. If you lose them, you will need to generate new ones from the marketplace portal.

URL + Credentials (WooCommerce, Tienda Nube)

For self-hosted stores like WooCommerce, you need to provide your store URL along with the REST API keys.

Data That Syncs

Once the channel is connected, Fenicia syncs the following data:

DataDirectionDescription
ProductsBidirectionalCatalog, prices, descriptions, images
OrdersMarketplace → FeniciaNew orders and status updates
InventoryFenicia → MarketplaceStock levels updated in real time
CustomersMarketplace → FeniciaCustomer data associated with orders

Selective sync

You can adjust which data syncs and in which direction from the channel settings after connecting.

First Sync

After authorizing the connection, Fenicia automatically starts the initial sync:

1

Product import

Fenicia downloads your complete catalog from the marketplace. Depending on size, this can take anywhere from seconds to several minutes.

2

Order import

Recent orders (typically the last 30 days) are imported so you have immediate context.

3

Inventory sync

Stock levels from Fenicia are pushed to the marketplace to keep availability up to date.

Do not interrupt the first sync

The initial import may take several minutes for large catalogs. You can navigate to other sections while it completes in the background.

Troubleshooting

IssueSolution
