Shipping Finances

The shipping finances module at /shipping/finances lets you manage your prepaid balance, make top-ups, and maintain visibility over additional charges such as overweight fees. This feature is specific to the Mexican market where shipping operates on a prepaid model.

Account Balance

At the top of the panel you will see your available balance:

  • Current balance: Amount available to generate new labels.
  • Committed balance: Amount reserved for labels generated but not yet picked up.
  • Period spend: Total spent in the current month.

Insufficient balance

If your balance is lower than the cost of a label, you will not be able to generate it. Set up low-balance alerts to receive notifications before running out of funds.

Top Up Your Balance

1

Open the top-up panel

Click the "Top up balance" button next to the current balance indicator. A side drawer will open with payment options.

2

Select amount

Choose a preset amount ($500, $1,000, $2,500, $5,000 MXN) or enter a custom amount. The minimum top-up is $200 MXN.

3

Choose payment method

Select your payment method: saved credit/debit card, bank transfer (SPEI), or convenience store deposit (OXXO).

4

Confirm top-up

Review the summary with the amount and commission (if applicable) and confirm. For cards, the balance is credited immediately. For SPEI and OXXO, it may take from minutes to hours.

Tip

Set up automatic top-ups so your balance recharges when it drops below a certain threshold. This prevents interruptions in your shipping operations.

Overweight Charges

Carriers verify the weight and dimensions of each package at their distribution centers. If they detect a discrepancy with what was declared when generating the label, they apply an overweight charge.

How It Works

  1. You generate a label declaring weight and dimensions.
  2. The carrier receives the package and weighs/measures it.
  3. If there is a difference, they calculate the additional charge.
  4. The charge is automatically deducted from your Fenicia balance.

Overweight Table

In the overweight section you will find:

ColumnDescription
Tracking numberAffected tracking number
Declared weightWhat was entered when generating the label
Actual weightWhat the carrier measured
DifferenceAdditional kilograms detected
ChargeAmount deducted from your balance
DateWhen the charge was applied

Disputing an overweight charge

If you believe an overweight charge is incorrect, you can dispute it from the charge detail. Attach evidence (photos of the package on a scale) and the support team will review your case.

Transaction History

The history shows all account movements:

  • Top-ups: Credits to your balance with payment method and reference.
  • Consumption: Labels generated with carrier, service, and amount.
  • Overweight: Additional charges applied by carriers.
  • Refunds: Returns for labels cancelled before use.

Filter by movement type, date range, or carrier to find specific transactions.

Alerts and Notifications

Configure alerts to keep your operation running smoothly:

  • Low balance: Receive an email when your balance drops below the defined threshold.
  • Overweight detected: Immediate notification when a charge is applied.
  • Top-up successful: Confirmation that your balance was credited.
