The shipping finances module at /shipping/finances lets you manage your prepaid balance, make top-ups, and maintain visibility over additional charges such as overweight fees. This feature is specific to the Mexican market where shipping operates on a prepaid model.
At the top of the panel you will see your available balance:
Insufficient balance
If your balance is lower than the cost of a label, you will not be able to generate it. Set up low-balance alerts to receive notifications before running out of funds.
Click the "Top up balance" button next to the current balance indicator. A side drawer will open with payment options.
Choose a preset amount ($500, $1,000, $2,500, $5,000 MXN) or enter a custom amount. The minimum top-up is $200 MXN.
Select your payment method: saved credit/debit card, bank transfer (SPEI), or convenience store deposit (OXXO).
Review the summary with the amount and commission (if applicable) and confirm. For cards, the balance is credited immediately. For SPEI and OXXO, it may take from minutes to hours.
Tip
Set up automatic top-ups so your balance recharges when it drops below a certain threshold. This prevents interruptions in your shipping operations.
Carriers verify the weight and dimensions of each package at their distribution centers. If they detect a discrepancy with what was declared when generating the label, they apply an overweight charge.
In the overweight section you will find:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Tracking number | Affected tracking number |
| Declared weight | What was entered when generating the label |
| Actual weight | What the carrier measured |
| Difference | Additional kilograms detected |
| Charge | Amount deducted from your balance |
| Date | When the charge was applied |
Disputing an overweight charge
If you believe an overweight charge is incorrect, you can dispute it from the charge detail. Attach evidence (photos of the package on a scale) and the support team will review your case.
