Create Service
The service creation wizard (/services/new) guides you step by step to configure a new service. The process adapts based on the service type you select.
Wizard Steps
Select type
Choose the type of service you want to create. This choice determines the configuration options available in the following steps.
- Bookable appointment: For services with reservable schedules.
- On-demand task: For work without a fixed schedule.
- Project: For deliveries with a defined scope.
- Field service: For work at the customer's site.
Basic information
Complete the main service details:
- Name: Title visible to your customers.
- Description: Details of what the service includes.
- Category (optional): Grouping to organize your catalog.
- Image (optional): Representative photo of the service.
Configuration
Options vary based on the selected type:
For bookable appointments:
- Service duration (15 min to 8 hours).
- Buffer time between appointments.
- Available slot intervals.
For projects:
- Delivery model (remote, on-site, hybrid).
- Estimated project duration.
- Expected deliverables.
Pricing
Define the pricing structure:
- Base price: Main service amount.
- Tax: Applicable VAT or tax percentage.
- Currency: MXN, USD, or other configured currency.
Review
Verify all configuration before creating the service. You can go back to any step to make adjustments.
Tip
You do not need to complete all configuration at once. You can save as draft and continue later from the catalog.
Availability for Bookable Appointments
If you created a bookable appointment type service, you need to configure schedule availability:
Weekly Schedule
Define the days and hours when the service is available for bookings:
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Active days | Select which days of the week you offer the service |
| Hours per day | Define start and end time for each active day |
| Breaks | Add rest blocks (e.g. lunch hour) |
Buffer Times
Buffers are intervals between appointments that allow for preparation or rest:
- Buffer before: Time reserved before each appointment (e.g. 10 min to prepare the space).
- Buffer after: Time reserved after each appointment (e.g. 15 min for cleanup).
Slot Intervals
The interval defines how often an available slot is offered. For example, with a 30-minute service and a 15-minute interval:
- 9:00, 9:15, 9:30, 9:45, 10:00...
Appointment overlap
Fenicia automatically validates that slots do not overlap, considering the service duration and configured buffers.
Pricing and Taxes
The pricing configuration supports multiple scenarios:
| Field | Description | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Base price | Amount before taxes | $500.00 |
| Tax rate | Applicable percentage | 16% (VAT) |
| Final price | Automatically calculated | $580.00 |
| Currency | Price currency | MXN |
Variable pricing
For services with variable pricing (such as projects), you can set a base price as reference and adjust when creating the booking.
After Creating
Once the service is created:
- It appears in your service catalog with active status.
- Customers can book it from the calendar if it is a bookable type.
