Booking Calendar

The booking calendar (/bookings/calendar) provides a visual view of all scheduled appointments. It allows you to navigate between dates, identify availability, and create new bookings directly from available slots.

Calendar View

The calendar displays bookings distributed over time with visual status indicators:

Date Navigation

Use the navigation controls to move between days, weeks, or months. The date picker allows you to jump directly to a specific date.

View Modes

  • Day: Hour-by-hour detail of a single day.
  • Week: 7-day overview with booking blocks.
  • Month: General view with occupancy indicators per day.

Tip

The week view is the most practical for planning your daily agenda. Use the month view to identify demand trends.

Slot Picker

Clicking on an available space in the calendar opens the slot picker, which shows free times for that day based on the service's availability configuration.

Create Booking from Calendar

You can create a new booking directly from the calendar by following these steps:

Select service

Choose the service the customer wants to book. Only active bookable-type services are shown.

Select date and time

Navigate to the desired day and select an available slot. Occupied slots appear disabled.

Customer information

Complete the customer details:

  • Name: Customer's full name.
  • Email: For sending confirmation and reminders.
  • Phone: Direct contact (optional).
  • Notes: Additional information relevant to the appointment.
  • Attendee count: If the service supports multiple people.

Review and confirm

Verify the booking summary: service, date, time, customer, and price. Confirm to create the booking.

Existing customers

If the customer is already in your database, you can search by name or email and their details will be filled in automatically.

Real-Time Availability

The calendar reflects availability in real time:

  • Already-booked slots appear as unavailable.
  • Configured buffers between appointments are automatically respected.
  • Days or hours outside the service schedule appear blocked.

Schedule conflicts

If two services share the same resource (person or space), Fenicia detects conflicts and does not allow simultaneous bookings in the same slot.

Actions from the Calendar

Clicking on an existing booking in the calendar:

  • View detail: Check the full booking information.
  • Change status: Confirm, start, or complete as appropriate.
  • Cancel: Cancel the booking directly.
  • Reschedule: Move the booking to another available slot.

Synchronization

The calendar updates automatically when bookings are created or modified from anywhere in the system, including bookings created by external customers.
